The Fylde Coast Business Directory is a free directory of local businesses, events, offers, and news across Blackpool, Lytham, and St Annes. This policy explains what information the site collects, how it is used, and what choices you have. Where this policy refers to “the site operator”, it means the person or organisation running this website.

Who runs this site

This site is run by the site operator. No separate registered company name or postal address is published here at this time; to get in touch about privacy matters, see “Your rights” below.

What information we collect

This site does not have user accounts, logins, or any payment system, so we do not collect passwords, payment card details, or billing information from visitors.

If you submit a business listing through the “Add Your Business” form, we collect the information you provide: the business name, town, a description of the business, and optionally a website address, phone number, and physical address. If you submit an update to an existing listing (an event, an offer, or a news item), we collect the details you provide for that update, including a title, body text, and, where relevant, an event date. This information is stored in our database, hosted by Supabase, and is used to publish and maintain the business listing on this site. Submitted listing and update information may be publicly visible on the site once published.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from visitors who are simply browsing the directory. Basic technical information (such as IP address and browser type) may be logged temporarily by our hosting provider, Vercel, as part of normal web server operation, and by Google Analytics if you have consented to analytics cookies (see below).

Cookies and tracking

This site uses a cookie consent banner. Cookies that are not strictly necessary for the site to function — specifically, advertising and analytics cookies — are only set after you actively accept them via that banner.
